Ivian Sarcos born on July 26, 1989 in Guanare, Portuguesa, Venezuela. she is 5ft 11in tall diplomacy student and a beauty pageant titleholder from Venezuela who was crowned Miss World 2011 on November 6, 2011 in London, United Kingdom. She placed third runner-up during the Miss World Beach Beauty event held on October 29 and fifth-runner-up in Miss World Top Model. Sarcos is the first woman from her country to win Miss World since Jacqueline Aguilera in 1995 and the 61st Miss World in the history of the pageant. Sarcos comes from a family of 12 brothers and sisters.
Sarcos competed as Miss Amazonas in her country's national beauty pageant, Miss Venezuela 2010, on October 28, 2010, and obtained the title of Miss World Venezuela 2010. She also won the L'bel Most Beautiful Face award. On January, 2012, Sarcos won the Miss Grand Slam 2011 title bestowed by Global Beauties.
She has been invited to attend the Miss Russia 2012 finals to be held in Moscow, on March 3rd. She will be guest of honor and will also join the panel of judges to select the winner. 50 beautiful ladies are competing in this year's event. The winner will represent Russia at the Miss World 2012 competition to be held in Ordos, China, in August 2012.

ReplyDeleteBeauty pageants are very popular in India. Ever since 2 Indian ladies (Aishwarya Rai & Sushmita Sen) won the Miss World and the Miss Universe titles in 1994, there has been immense interest in beauty pageants in India.
Many Miss India winners have gone onto successful movie careers which has further added glamour to the Miss India Beauty contest.
The 2012 Femina Miss India contest is in March 2012.
